Hypothesis

Our Hypothesis is that this winter was one of the coldest winters in a long time. The reason we think this is the layers in the snow pit are very crusty and sugar like. We think the layers are like this due to the very cold temperature.

Our second hypothesis is the snow will melt very soon and very fast. We think this because of the rise in temperature in the last few weeks. Also because very few new layers have added on to our pit meaning its not snowing very much and the snow isn't sticking very well. Also our layers are harder to identify. We think they are harder to see because the snow is melting together because of the warm temperature.
